Bridging Borders Through Film and Documentary

In 2003, I visited Afghanistan for the first time to assist with a friend’s film shoot.
That experience led me to begin working with NGOs on the ground.
After returning to Japan, I completed my first documentary film “The Magic 9”, which has been screened at various events across the country.
My photographs of children taken in war-torn Afghanistan also gained attention,
leading to invitations for lectures across Japan—reaching an audience of over 1,000 people.
In 2024, I gave a TEDx talk overseas and created a documentary on a round-the-world voyage by sea.
Connecting people across borders through visual storytelling has become my life’s work.
Currently, I’m working on a sequel to my film and preparing to publish an e-book.

皆さん、いきなりですが、自分が好きですか？
私はかつて真っ先に「NO」と答える人間でした。
沢山、劣等感を抱え人間関係が苦手でした。
だからこそ、そんな私を変えてくれた人たちとの出逢いを皆さんにシェアさせていただきたいと思います。
私はNGOのスタッフとして働く中で、災害や紛争現場で懸命に生きる人々から、生きるうえで大切な「４つの力」を学びました。
生死を別かつ究極の状況下にあっても、他者への思いやりを惜しまず笑顔を忘れない、彼らの精神に私は心底ショックを受けました。大切な人を亡くし、戦火や混乱の中でも彼らは静かに祈ることを続けていました。以前と変わらない方法で。
私自身、彼らから学んだ４つの力を実際に使い始めたことで、困窮していた人生が好転し、思いがけず、夢が叶っていったのです。

人生を揺るがす出会い
こんにちは。

あなたと出逢えたことに、感謝します。
私の長い旅は、2003年にアフガニスタンを初めて訪れた日から始まりました。
戦禍の首都カブールは爆撃に合い廃墟と化しており、家や家族を失った多くの子供たちや市民が、懸命に日々を生きていました。
その光景を前にして、私は雷に打たれたような衝撃を受けました。
当時の自分は、日本で無気力に日々を過ごしており、彼らの強い精神力と平和への願いに触れ、私の人生は根底から揺らぎました。
「自分は何のためにこの地球に生まれてきたのか？」
「なぜ戦争は起こるのか？」
そんな問いが胸の奥からあふれ、必死で今自分にできることを考え続けました。
そうして出した結論はシンプル。
「健康な体と頭・手足が与えられている限り、まずはそれを最大限に使って、できることを全部やろう。」
というものでした。
全ての人が天命を思いだした時、
世界平和が実現する
過去の歴史は変えることはできなくても、今を生きる 私たちには、未来を選ぶ力があります。
まずは「知る」こと。国や立場を越えて、「事実を共有し合う」こと。
すると、自然に【自分にできること=使命】が表れてくる気がします。
全ての人が自分が生まれてきた理由（天命）を思いだした時、世界は平和を実現できると私は信じています。
この出会いを通して、そっと問いかけさせてください。
「あなたは、
この世界に何をするために生まれてきましたか？」
あなたは、ご先祖さまや家族・そして未来の子どもたちとつながる、大切な「いのちの糸」です。
どうか、私たちとつながってください。
