Creating documentary films that connect people across borders

In 2003,I visited Afghanistan for the first time to assist a friend with filming a movie.
That experience led me to start working as a staff member for an NGO.
After returning to Japan, I completed my first documentary film “The Magical 9”, Screenings were held throughout Japan by those who wished to do so.
Photographs I took of children in war-torn Afghanistan attracted a great deal of attention, and I was invited to give lectures all over Japanan.
In 2024, I spoke at TEDxKhargharWomen.
My life's work is creating videos that connect people across borders, such as a documentary about a voyage around the world.
I am currently preparing a sequel to his film and publishing an e-book.

Hello, everyone. Let me ask you a question:
Do you like yourself?
I used to be a first parson to answer "No!"
I had alot of stluggling of relationships.
So today, I’d like to share with you a series of encounters that changed me.
While working as an NGO staff member, I learned the "four powers" essential for living from people who were struggling to survive at the site of disasters and conflicts.
Even in life-threatening and extreme situations, I was deeply shocked by their spirit of never losing their compassion for others and always smiling. Even after losing loved ones and amid the chaos of war, they continued to pray quietly, just as they had always done.
By putting into practice the four powers I learned from them, my life, which had been in turmoil, began to improve. Unexpectedly, my dreams began to come true.

We produce films and documentaries, including the film [Magic 9]. My life's work is to make films that connect people across borders, such as working on a documentary about a round-the-world boat trip.

人生を揺るがす出会い
こんにちは。

あなたと出逢えたことに、感謝します。
私の長い旅は、2003年にアフガニスタンを初めて訪れた日から始まりました。
戦禍の首都カブールは爆撃に合い廃墟と化しており、家や家族を失った多くの子供たちや市民が、懸命に日々を生きていました。
その光景を前にして、私は雷に打たれたような衝撃を受けました。
当時の自分は、日本で無気力に日々を過ごしており、彼らの強い精神力と平和への願いに触れ、私の人生は根底から揺らぎました。
「自分は何のためにこの地球に生まれてきたのか？」
「なぜ戦争は起こるのか？」
そんな問いが胸の奥からあふれ、必死で今自分にできることを考え続けました。
そうして出した結論はシンプル。
「健康な体と頭・手足が与えられている限り、まずはそれを最大限に使って、できることを全部やろう。」
というものでした。
全ての人が天命を思いだした時、
世界平和が実現する
過去の歴史は変えることはできなくても、今を生きる 私たちには、未来を選ぶ力があります。
まずは「知る」こと。国や立場を越えて、「事実を共有し合う」こと。
すると、自然に【自分にできること=使命】が表れてくる気がします。
全ての人が自分が生まれてきた理由（天命）を思いだした時、世界は平和を実現できると私は信じています。
この出会いを通して、そっと問いかけさせてください。
「あなたは、
この世界に何をするために生まれてきましたか？」
あなたは、ご先祖さまや家族・そして未来の子どもたちとつながる、大切な「いのちの糸」です。
どうか、私たちとつながってください。
